I went here with a group of 24 people to eat dinner. This place is a gem! Gave me a lot of surprises!
My favorite dish is one of their signatures - the round hoof! The meat is so soft and tender, and melt into your mouth right away.
Don't be fooled by my picture: it might look too fatty to you, BUT the real case is that the restaurant manager told me it takes 4 days to prepare this dish. They would steam the hoof during the day, and when they close at night, they would put it into the fridge. The next day before opening, they retrieve the hoof and remove all the fat and oil (already in solid form) that came out, and start steaming it again. They repeat the steaming and cooling and fat removing steps for another 3days, and then it became this dish. It was REALLY GOOD!!! So what in my mouth has the texture of fat, but actually there is no fat.
Some other dishes i recommend is the onion&ginger oyster bowl, beef in Chinese sause.
I wasn't so sure about the total bill, but 25 of us booked 2 round tables, and we paid $500 in total.

Real Yue/Hong Kong style Chinese Restaurant. I've been here 10+ times. My recommendation would be: leave the menu alone and order dishes from the "Special List" on the blackboard. Two more dishes are also recommended: Pork Knuckle (红烧肘子)and lobster. Don't order westernized Chinese food since you could have them with a much lower price in any food-court.
However, portion is small here. Finally, a special advise to my fellow Cantonese: 清蒸海青斑并不好吃。 -

I travel weekly and have made it a point to eat and compare Chinese food all over North America. Kambie was HORRIBLE. The egg roll was burnt. The hot and sour soup was marginal. The sweet and sour chicken was half chicken and half FAT. The sauce on top was good, the onions and peppers good, the chicken was simply terrible.
The service was alright until the hostess gave her complete attention to a table of 14 Chinese patrons. I literally sat for 20 mins without any interaction.
I paid. The owner noticed I didn't eat my sweet and sour chicken, asked me. I explained it was very fatty. She insisted it was the flour. Yeah, right. I know the difference between flour and fat.
Compensation for me? NOPE. She insisted it was lean chicken and I didn't know the difference. Let me leave the plate essentially uneaten and took my money.
I was there with a friend, who got the hot pot. He very much enjoyed the shrimp, tofu and vegetables, but the octopus was exactly like rubber. He couldn't eat it.
Do NOT eat here. Save your money and more importantly, save your taste buds. -

Kambie is close to the hotel where I'm staying for a few days on business. I'm from Toronto, and being Asian, I started craving authentic chinese food after a few days of pasta, burgers, steaks. On a whim, I decided to get dinner from Kambie after reading some reviews.
It's very close to Hong Kong style chinese food, not westernized chinese fast food. I had the Yang Chow Fried Rice takeout, and the flavours were pretty good. Portion is a little bit smaller than in the GTA, and the price was a little over priced.
Interior of the restaurant while I was waiting was decent. Service was fast.

Really horrible, sloppy food and extremely overpriced. Any good reviews must be by folks who have not had chinese food outside of London- but even London has tons of better options!
